This month, in Bali, Indonesia, Singapore-based Azura Marine has launched its new yacht as its first-ever solar-powered catamaran yacht. The company says that the solar-powered yacht can on non-stop ocean voyages with sunlight as its only power. In the daytime, it harnesses solar energy and stores it in the batteries for later use during night time. The yacht’s harness energy is sufficient to run its propulsion as well as electrical systems.

According to the claim of Azura Marine, the Solar Eclipse yacht can travel over 100 nautical miles or 185 kilometers in one day without having to stop. This is made possible with its 10kW power capacity stored in the 60kWh battery bank of the yacht. The energy can power two 10kW electric motors.
