Uber Luxury Service Rolls Out A Series Of New Features

In recent years, ride-sharing platforms are on the rise around the world. On each ride, it is common for riders and customers to communicate with each other. But what happens if you stumble upon a talkative driver or when you are not in the mood for a chit chat, or you want your driver to help with your luggage, or you want to adjust the right temperature? No worries as Uber is releasing its new series of new features to suit all of your needs.

For customers who want to have a trip as silent as possible, a “Quiet Mode” button will appear on the booking interface. Besides “Quiet Mode,” riders can also request luggage help or preferred temperature by using the app. They can also ask their driver for extra time without having to pay for late pickup fees. There are also a “no preference” and “happy to chat” option to choose from.

The need for silence might urge drivers to pay more so they can take a call, nap, work, or relax during their trip.

However, these options are only available to the company’s Uber Black SUV and Uber Black service. This is a special package for a more luxurious experience with an all-black car and a professional driver. Typically, fares are 200% higher than Uber Pool and 100% higher than Uber X. Drivers for these more high-end services are required to have commercial registration as well as insurance. In certain markets, a specific minimum rating is needed to keep their job.
