A youth from Maharashtra was held by Chakan Police in Pune for allegedly creating a nuisance in the locality. Reason: He was so addicted to playing PUBG Mobile that he used in-game language to harass locals. PUBG Mobile has gained a lot of popularity in India and many youths have shown addiction to this game. The incident took place on Tuesday when locals manhandled the youth and dragged him to Chakan police station.

According to the police, Ajit Pawar, a student, was addicted to playing PUBG and spent over eight hours playing the game on his mobile phone. He also started coaxing his neighbors to play with him. If they refused, he became aggressive and tried to assault them. Several parents from the locality were afraid of Pawar and asked their children to stay away from him.
"He was running around the street screaming that 100 people came to kill him with guns. When we interrogated the locals, they have stated that the suspect was playing the game for long hours since past few months and this had pushed him in depression. We will be sending him for medical check up and after ascertaining his conditions, he will be sent to a mental asylum", said a senior officer from Chakan police station.

"The locals had approached me a few days back and had sought my help. They complained that the youth was mentally disturbed due to PUBG Mobile game. We are speaking to his family members and will try to help the family to resolve this issue." Sunil Patil, the local leader confirmed.
This is not the first incident of PUBG Mobile addiction, in the month of September, a youth from Delhi allegedly killed his father for not allowing him to play the game. In another incident, two youths from the Hingoli district in Maharashtra were killed after Hyderabad to Ajmer train ran over them. Both of them were playing PUBG Mobile near the railway tracks.
