Prime Minister Narendra Modi continues showing his dominance on social platforms with his position as the world’s most popular leader.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi continues showing his dominance on social platforms with his position as the world’s most popular leader.
His personal Facebook page has over 45 million likes, beating his political fellows around the world.
The second spot belongs to Donald Trump, the president of the United States with over 27 million likes. Queen Rania of Jordan is in the third position with 16.8 million likes. The data can be found in the “World Leaders on Facebook” 2020 rankings by Burson Cohn & Wolfe, a global communications agency.

While the number of likes from Trump is fewer than that of PM Modi, he tops the ranking for national leaders with the most interactions.
On his Facebook page, in the last 12 months, Trump received a total number of comments, likes, and shares of 309 million.
For this ranking, PM Modi of India is in the third spot, after Donald Trump in the first position and Brazil’s President Jair Bolsonaro in the third spot. Over the last 12 months, PM Modi’s Facebook page had 84 million interactions.

The report shows interesting data about the presence of world leaders’ on social media platforms. On average, Modi interacts with 1.7 million fans, accounting for 3.8% of his Facebook community. Meanwhile, Donald Trump stands at 877,000 while the President of Brazil stands reaches 956,000 of his fans.
The study also stated that the COVID-19 pandemic has led to an increase of 13 million new page likes in 721 world leaders’ pages. In March 2020, Italian PM Giuseppe Conte’s page saw a double in likes.
