Parrots Put Back Into Isolation For Swearing At Visitors
Harin
Five African grey parrots were removed from public display at the Lincolnshire Wildlife Park after they started swearing at visitors.
Parrots are one of the few creatures that can actually communicate with humans as they have the ability to mimic human language, thus forming basic words. However, because of the same reason, they can create a nuisance for humans.

A zoo had to put a number of parrots in time out for swearing at visitors. On August 15, five African grey parrots were moved to a room at the Lincolnshire Wildlife Park.
The staff of the zoo found the language of the parrots hilarious but it soon became a problem when they started throwing inappropriate words at paying customers. That was why Steve Nichols, the CEO of the wildlife park, had decided to put the birds in isolation. He also revealed he has come across these situations before in his 25 years working with parrots.
Every now and then, there will be one bird that swears. And it is funny. However, by coincidence, the park somehow got five swearing parrots in the same week. And because they were put in the same room, the room was filled with swearing words. And the more they swear, the more they laugh, triggering them to swear again.
The parrots were on public display for around 20 minutes before they were removed.
The plan is to put these birds in different areas so they can’t encourage each other to swear.
