According to the site's recent traffic data, Indians have been using the service more ever since the lockdown.
The lockdown coincided with P.o.r.n.h.u.b's announcement to offer people a month of its Premium service for free.
The decision came after the website stated that it would make a donation of 50,000 surgical masks to people living in New York, the worst-hit area in the US by the pandemic and making its service free for users in Italy.
On March 25, all P.o.r.n.h.u.b's premium adult content was available for free for all users globally. And on that very same day, the website saw a 55.4 increase in its number of Indian users. The next day, it continued to witness an 86.4% rise.
And on March 27, the website had maximum traffic coming from India, with 95.3% of users accessing premium as well as other adult content.
To put it in context, on March 1, the website only saw 0.8% of Indian users.
Italy, Spain, and France were the first few countries that get to access P.o.r.n.h.u.b premium service for free. Besides P.o.r.n.h.u.b, there are other online services that have been offering their services for free as millions of people have been advised to stay indoors, practicing social distancing.
The latest report reveals that people have searched for content with "Corona" or "COVID" in their titles for over 15 million times. Similar to other adult video sites, P.o.r.n.h.u.b is blocked in India. On October 27, 2018, the Department of Telecom asked internet service providers to block 827 websites for containing pornographic content.
91% of users living in India still use the website from their smartphones, making the country one of the website's mobile traffic providers.
