North Korea has long been known for its military resources with several rocket tests that worry everyone. Over the weekend, the country presented a new giant intercontinental ballistic missile that is said to the best largest of its kind.
The missile was shown in a parade that was aired on state television. An 11-axles truck carried the missile, which made quite an appearance.
The show-off was to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Workers’ Party reign on the Northside. Kim Jong Un looked very proud throughout the parade.
Back in 2017, North Korea launched similar missiles with the ability to reach the entire US continental. After that, the US tested its own defense system and the two countries entered a cold war. However, this new missile shows that North Korea has an even bigger force that can take on US defenses. Kim Jong Un said in the parade:
“We will continue to strengthen war deterrence for self-defense to deter, control, and manage all dangerous attempts and threatening acts, including ever-growing nuclear threats, from hostile forces.”
“But should anyone undermine our national security and mobilize military power against us, I will retaliate by using the most powerful offensive force at our disposal and in a preemptive manner.”
This was the first military parade in North Korea since 2018. Most of the participants, including Kim Jong Un, were not wearing masks, which is not a good example of how to behave during the pandemic.
