Nissan, the renowned automotive manufacturing brand from Japan, made an announcement on its plan to bring “three-dimensional, augmented-reality avatars” into its car’s cabin. Up to now, it has conducted a few preliminary tests. Accordingly, drivers will have a chance to interact with anime versions of humans into their cars in the 3D world.
The first time Nissan introduced the advanced technology called “Invisible-to-Visible” or I2V was at the CES 2019 (also known as the Consumer Electronics Show) which takes place in January every year. The I2V technology is developed to transmit the information on landmarks or pedestrians’ location, for example, from outside the car to your Nissan’s dashboard.
Testuro Ueda, one of the technology experts of the Nissan Research Center, revealed that the Japanese auto manufacturer created the “Metaverse” virtual world to combine itself with the world we’re living in with the aim to bring “the ultimate connected-car experience”. According to some sources, the sci-fi movie “Snow Crash” produced in 1992 was allegedly the major inspiration of the company.
Everything concerning this tech product seems to be rather difficult to comprehend. Nissan hasn’t yet revealed its official release date, as well as still kept a secret on the future image of 3D holograms.
Another notable thing is, until now, the hologram researching technology sounds not to reach such a high level yet. We haven’t witnessed any similar product all over the world. That’s why those who took part in the CES 2019 need to put on augmented reality goggles to see what Nissan wanted to show off.
