Tesla has finally made a miniature version of Model S for children as a rideable toy. It’s the result of the cooperation between Tesla and Radio Flyer, and it's amazing.
Surprisingly, it looks just like its original inspiration. The mini Tesla even has headlights to work with. It also includes foldable mirrors on the sides, a ‘frunk’ to store toys as well as an AUX input for your favorite tunes.
A $600 educational toy
Of course, the mini Tesla Model S runs on electricity, using a lithium-ion battery. It is expected to go on sales at the cost of $600. To charge it, simply use the charging port from the side or charge it using the removable battery. The model comes in different colors, including blue metallic, deep silver metallic, red metallic or flat white.
As a matter of fact, you can totally have a wheel rim of your own preference. Also, vanity plates are available to add for some additional cost. The mini Tesla has a few available accessories at the moment. There is a customizable car parking sign alongside a car cover. You can also purchase extra batteries if you’d like to. And don’t worry if it runs too fast, parents can control the max speed of the mini-vehicle with a simple switch.
Teaching kids about a green future
A $600 toy might be too expensive for some people but it’s quite an investment to teach kids about a green future. Electric cars will likely be the future. Evidently, many nations are looking to enforce a ban on combustion engine cars in just a few years.
Many ambitious thinkers hope for a new generation with vehicles having neither steering wheels nor pedals. In fact, not just Tesla but some other brands also own mini versions of the popular ones. If you don’t mind the price, feel free to choose between a fancy BMW i8 or a luxurious Mercedes CLA45.
