Both of Japan's famous automakers have partnered up in a deal to produce Suzuki's first hybrid car on the market. Maruti Suzuki and Toyota are working together and about to bring the Hybrid car closer to reality. It is pretty sure that they will launch this car very soon in the future.

Following the government's interest in issuing inducements for hybrid cars was the beginning of hybrid vehicles' development. Before, the government only encouraged the production of all-electric cars. However, lately, the ministry of road transport and highways has urged for moderation in hybrid vehicles GST.
For Faster Adoption of Manufacturing of hybrid and Electric vehicles program (FAME)'s second stage, the department of the heavy industry also demanded incentives for more than 10,000 hybrid cars.

Maruti Suzuki plans to produce all the essential parts of car exclusively in India, including the lithium-ion batteries. To prepare for this production, the construction of a battery plant partnership of Suzuki-Denso-Toshiba in Gujarat is in progress. This factory will only support Toyota and Maruti Suzuki's locally assembled electric and hybrid vehicles.
According to Indian executive Maruti Suzuki, Kenichi Ayukawa, the company is now calling for tax reduction and subsidies as a form of support from the Indian government. He also affirmed that the cost of hybrid tech is quite expensive and Maruti Suzuki should consider collaborating with Toyota to make small-sized cars with advanced technology.
There is no information about which model of hybrid cars will be available first in India. However, with its standard model's recent launch, Swift's hybrid version is likely going to be the first one to be launched. Once launched, the company will see this as a foundation for making its transition into electric vehicles field. After getting the hybrid's sales results and operation feedback, the company can come up with suitable offering.
