Man Robbed Rs 7.1 Lakh Of Two Banks Using Just An Avocado As A Grenade

A man covered his face carefully, walked in the banks, told tellers to hand out the money, threatened to throw his grenade, which was actually an avocado.

The only thing that can limit you is your own imagination. This saying means there’s no limit to what you can do and achieve but yourself, with creativity and hard work, you will be successful. And this robber managing to take Rs 7.1 lakh from two banks with avocado is a perfect example.

According to The Times of Israel, a 47-year-old man faced charges after robbing over Rs 7.1 lakh from two Postal Bank branches. The man walked into a Postal Bank branch in a shopping mall, giving a teller a note that says “hand over the money in the drawer.” The robber then threatened to throw a grenade, as reported by Channel 12 news.

Who knows avocado can be a weapon too?

The twist here is that the grenade turned out to be a painted avocado. According to The Times of Israel, the robber left the bank with over Rs 3.36 lakh cash.

Five days after that, he robbed another Postal Bank branch in another shopping area with the same method. He threatened to throw his avocado-grenade and managed to take Rs 2.5 lakh cash.

During the two robberies, the robber reportedly wore sunglasses, hats, as well as an eye patch, which made it hard to identify him from security footage. But the police were able to track him down after monitoring his cellphone activity while following several leads.

The robber had reportedly served three years in prison after charges related to robberies. Though the incident happened last year, it remains a good example of how far creativity can take us.
