Video Of Indian Man Playing Cricket Alone Went Viral, Showing How Awful The Pandemic Is In India

Recently, a video of a man playing Cricket all by himself on a terrace amid CO.VID-19 lockdown in India has taken TikTok community by storm.

The short clip shows Ravi Singh took the position of a fielder, a batsman, and a bowler all by himself.

As you may have guessed, this cricket match was a little different from what usually happens. For one, it featured only one player. For another, Ravi Singh played at a very slow speed so that he had time to take over all the positions.

For example, Ravi bowled at a low speed and then quickly ran to the other side of the pitch, picked up a bat and then hit the ball. Right after that, he took the fielder role and chased the ball.

Viewers can also hear Mere Halaat Aise Hain playing in the background. The song is from the Bollywood movie Tum Se Achcha Kaun Hai releasing in 2002.

The video has attracted lots of attention on TikTok with 5 lakh likes, 80,000 shares, and whooping 13 million views.

As the government imposed a strict 21-day complete lockdown in a bid to contain the COVID-19 outbreak, people’s lives have been turned upside down. As of yesterday, India had 1,965 confirmed cases with 50 deaths. 150 people have recovered from the disease.

On Thursday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi hinted of a staggered exit from the current lengthy lockdown after the April 14 deadline passes.

He said that it was important to come up with an exit strategy for the population to emerge after the lockdown period ends. He also asked state chief ministers to submit their own suggestions on a way to execute such an exit.
