In early August, WhatsApp introduced a new feature called ‘Frequently Forwarded’ to Indian users. The feature is displayed as a special double arrow icon that is arranged next to forwarded messages.
WhatsApp noted that the app would send a notification to its users when they allegedly send so many forwarded messages to other users. More particularly, they will see this special icon if they forward a message at least 05 times. Additionally, the company revealed its plan to cut down long messages like chain messages.
2. Listen To Voice Message Via Preview Notification
Among the latest and upcoming features of WhatsApp, this feature is something iPhone owners have waited for a long time. Accordingly, they can access the preview notification to listen to voice messages.
As of now, it has been developed and appeared in WhatsApp’s new test versions on the iOS platform. Hope that this feature can soon come to the more stable versions in the upcoming time.
3. Multi-platform Support
According to many sources, the free messaging app has made a big effort to develop an update that allows users to use the only account on many different devices at the same time. In a bid to help users to run the app directly on their iPads without removing it out of smartphones, WhatsApp plans to develop the feature on Apple’s tablets.
Reports point out that with the multi-platform support feature, users can log in the app with the only account on both the Android and iOS platforms (of iPads). In addition, PCs also gain native support from the feature. For those who are using the app version on PC, they can leverage screen mirroring.
4. Dark Mode
The dark mode may soon be available on both iOS 13 and Android Q; however, WhatsApp, in fact, has been developing a similar feature for a long time. The interesting feature will allow users to change colors to regulate the amount of light which enters their eyes, especially in the low-light conditions. In addition to WhatsApp, many famous apps like Maps, Chrome, and YouTube have already brought this feature to their users.
5. Group Invitation On WhatsApp
Group Invitation is among the latest features WhatsApp has just offered to its users. With it, you can block other users from adding you to any group. Following these steps to turn on the feature: Access the in-app privacy menu >>> Choose one of the three options in the group settings: ‘My Contacts’, ‘Everyone’, or ‘Nobody’.
