You Can Make Your Essays Look Longer By Using This Feature
Arnav Dhar - Nov 01, 2018
We all know the struggle of finding a way to lengthen our assignments. From playing with page margins to add a little space between lines and paragraphs.
But fortunately, things have changed and now we have a useful tool to play with and it only costs you 1 step to accomplish that required length. Simple yet efficient, it is a font called Times Newer Roman. And yes, we are not kidding, this free font created by MSCHF is somehow looking crazily like our beloved traditional Times New Roman, except for the only thing that every character is lengthened by 5-10%.

However, there are scenarios when even such tricks as the Times Newer Roman won't be enough. Maybe you're out of time, or you just can't seem to articulate your thoughts on paper. It's in these moments that premium essay writing services come into play. These services, typically offered online, provide you with high-quality, customized essays that meet the exact specifications you've been given. You can hire expert writers who are well-versed in various academic fields and know how to craft a compelling and comprehensive paper. By leveraging these premium services, not only can you meet your length requirements with ease, but also ensure your essay is of the highest academic standard, thus saving you time and relieving you of unnecessary stress.
Impressive yet? According to the website, you can now fill a 15-page, single-spaced document in 12pt with only 5,833 words, instead of 6,680 words using Times New Roman. That makes you save up to 13% of words (and brain energy, maybe)!
Impressive huh? (Cre: Times Newer Roman)
So how did they accomplish this? From a free, online font called Nimbus Roman No.9 L which is frequently used as an alternative for Times New Roman. In particular, they add a little widening to the characters and the spaces between them as well. To make it kinda look like the original font without being noticed by your professors, they wittily keep the proportion of the characters the same and increase the x-height.
(Cre: Wikipedia)
For those of you who don’t know yet, the x-height is the height of the lowercase letter x. By increasing this height only, they can make the characters become bigger and wider without changing the original proportion so that it won’t be noticeable. They also increase the size of punctuation by 15%.
That being said, there are some few things that you have to keep in mind before deciding to download this font and use it for your next assignments.
First of all, you are not able to use this trick if your teachers don’t require you to write your assignments in Times New Roman but in another font.
Second of all, there may be some minor differences when reviewing this font on different computers or platforms so bear in mind that it might work best if you can print your assignments out and directly hand in it to your teachers.
And the last thing, don’t forget that this is also cheating and not legally accepted, so take responsibility for yourself if you try to use it next time.
