As COVID-19 infection shows no sign of slowing down, more andm ore institutes and colleges, including the Indian Institute of Technology, Jamia Millia Islamia, and Jawaharlal Nehru University have to shut down to prevent the Coronavirus from spreading.
And as classes are cancelled, students began chanting “Jai Corona” and the video recording them doing so is going viral.
IIT-Delhi required all students to leave their hostels by Sunday, March 15 as a preventative measure against COVID-19. IIT Delhi director V Ramgopal Rao announced this new update via emails sent to faculties and students as the number of confirmed cases in India is increasing. Last week, the outbreak took the lives of two people.
The celebration of IIT-Delhi students was shared on Twitter and it has taken the Internet by storm.

According to Arvind Kejriwal, Delhi Chief Minister, all cinemas in the city must remain close until the 31st of March. He also said that colleges and schools, which have no exams going on will have to shut down until the end of this month.
India has 6,000 citizens stranded in Iran and since the latter country has no capacity to test these Indians, India decides to fly in equipment and experts to set up a lab there. Those who test negative for COVID-19 will be the first to be brought back to India.
The lab will be donated to Iran eventually. As India is treating patients of other nationals, the government said that it hoped other countries would do the same for Indians getting COVID-19 outside of the Indian territories.
