Electric vehicles are being used in various sectors that rely on mobility. A startup from Mysuru has decided to change this by allowing tourists to wander around the city using electric bikes.

The company plans on providing tourists visiting the city with eco-friendly vehicles. Anyone who pays a visit to the area can take these electric bikes for sightseeing around. In some places, the e-bikes are not only available to tourists but also to the locals.

In some places, the e-bikes are not only available to tourists but also to the locals.

But Mysuru is not the first destination to offer tourists a green mobility arrangement. Previously, the concept has already been deployed in Gujarat, Puducherry, and Goa. With Mysuru, it is the first time that the startup comes to Karnataka.

According to B:Live, the electric bikes used for the operations can reach a range of 50km per charge. The e-bikes also come with digital screens to provide riders with multiple information. For those who don’t want to pedal, they can also use the bikes’ accelerators as well as the pedal-assist mode to have an effortless and safe riding experience.

At the moment, tourists, as well as locals, can find the e-bikes at some selected hospitality locations which include Grand Mercure, Windflower and Radisson Blu. At these locations, the startup also set up charging hubs as well as dockets.

In the future, the plan of B:Live is to bring the initiative to Hampi, Srirangapatna, and Kodagu. For the Mysuru’s network, there will be 50 electric bikes at each of the locations. Tourists can access these e-bikes via a pre-paid token.
