India Saw The Highest D.e.a.t.h Toll From CO.VID-19 In One Day

As of Thursday, CO.VID-19 has claimed a total of 16 Indian lives, with six new deaths. This is by far the highest death toll the country has ever experienced since the outbreak starts to affect India. With 70 new cases reported on Thursday, the total is now 703.

On the same day, Kerala saw 19 fresh cases, pushing the number to 126 for the state, as stated by Pinarayi Vijayan, chief minister. Kerala is currently having over 1.2 lakh people under strict observation.

This also makes it the state with the highest number of CO.VID-19 cases.

The runner-up is Maharashtra with 124 patients with Thane and Mumbai each has one new case.

On Thursday, we have four new patients in Karnataka, which now has a total of 55 CO.VID-19 cases. The same day also saw three more people tested positive in Telangana, raising the state’s number to 44.

The couple among three new patients is spouses and they are both doctors who came in contact with people infected with the virus. The other person has been to Delhi and none of them has travel history to other countries.

The neighboring state of Andhra Pradesh saw three new people coming down with the disease. Its total now is 11.

The same day also saw the government allowing door-step delivery of drugs during the 21-day complete lockdown. The reason here is the retail of drugs is considered essential when people stay inside to avoid contracting the Co.ro.na.vi.rus.

The government also said that the distribution of drugs is also vital as they are delivered to consumers.
