Here are the top ten most attacked countries, according to the report. The top spot belongs to the U.S, India is the runner-up, the UK occupies the third spot, Singapore, Ukraine, the UAE ranks fourth, fifth, and sixth respectively. Nigeria, Japan, South Korea, and Spain are at the seventh, eighth, ninth, an tenth.
The report also states that most of the cyberattacks targeting India originated from Slovenia, Ukraine, the Czech Republic, Mexico, and China.
Hackers usually aim at critical infrastructure. The next targets are banking, defense, and manufacturing.
According to Prayukth K.V, chief marketing officer for the Internet of Things of Subex, the vital infrastructure in the gas and oil industry is the most targeted by hackers.
He also shared that while China only ranks fourth on the list of where hackers attacking India came from, the number of cyberattacks originated from this country is on the rise.
Subex said in the report that Chinese hackers usually rout through other countries like the Philippines or Vietnam.
Prayukth said that some Chinese hackers no longer cover their locations. The company was able to track them down to four new regions in China, including Chizhou, Jieshou, Tianjin, and Hefei.
