The most recent clash between China and India along the Himalayan border along Kashmir’s Ladakh area has resulted in the death of at least 20 personnel on the Indian side and 43 Chinese troops.
This is by far the first clash resulting in death since 1975 and also the most severe since 1967.

The fight broke out earlier this week when an Indian patrol spotted Chinese soldiers on a ridge. After that, confrontation took place and resulted in the death of a commanding officer on India side. Hundreds of troops from both sides entered the fight with rocks and clubs, several of them fell and died.
According to the Indian Army, three soldiers were dead in the fight and 17 others could not make it because of serious injuries.
Beijing has not confirmed the total number of deaths on its side. The country also accused India of crossing to its side and attacking its personnel.
According to the Global Times’ editor-in-chief, a state-run news agency, there are deaths on China’s side; however, the People’s Liberation Army did not want to affect the public’s mood so it would not compare numbers.

PM Narendra Modi said on Wednesday India wanted peace but that did not mean it couldn’t put up a fight if necessary.
An all-party meeting will be held on Friday at 5 P.M to discuss what happening at the Galwan Valley.
On Wednesday, the top defence establishment authorities of India, with Defence Minister Rajnath Singh in charge, had a meeting after a colonel and at least 20 Indian soldiers were killed.
