Specially-abled 60-year-old man Vishnu Patel from Gujarat made the headlines for using waste material to make environment-friendly e-bikes.
According to Patel, he has used waste material to build seven bikes that run on batteries and are not harmful to the environment. He said that while people threw these materials away, he was using them to make electric bikes.
Anand Mahindra, Chairman of the Mahindra Group, was impressed by the innovation of Patel. In order to encourage Patel’s đeication, Mahindra has offered to make an investment in his invention.
Patel’s story was shared by a Twitter user with Anand Mahindra. The Chairman of the Mahindra group is known for posting about innovations that catch his attention. In fact, this is not the first time for Mahindra to offer help to people who impressed him with their inventions.
Mahindra called this a fabulous story. He also said that he would contact Patel to invest in his workshop for upgradations. He also added that he has been inspired by Patel’s story to invest Rs 1 crore in micro-entrepreneurs.
Anand Mahindra has been helping people who want to make life easier with “jugaad.” Back in 2018, he also offered to invest in a cobbler's witty advertisement. The cobber named himself a “shoe-doctor” and his shoe repair shop became a “hospital.”
Mahindra designed a new kiosk for the shoe doctor. After it was complete, the kiosk was delivered to the cobbler and set up.
