Bruce was supposed to meet his friends for a camping trip that night. He searched on Google Maps and was suggested a 15-minute off-road shortcut, he got in his upgraded Ford Ranger car and began to drive.

Google guided him to a road that seems to be abandoned for a long time. The place looks like a pine plantation will the trees cut down.

Then Bruce realized he might have got a bit too far off when he reached a place that was too narrow for him to turn his car around. He decided to keep moving forward, at that time, he had on his vehicle enough diesel to drive for another 1,000 kilometers, a CB UHF radio, a tent, some beer and water for a night. In the photo is the Blue Mountains located in New South Wales, Australia.

This road is about 500 meters leading down a mountain. The routes are seriously rutted, but Bruce drove onwards since it was too late to go back.

Bruce encountered more ruts. To go past these, he pulled out a controlled sliding trick, where he actually slid on his car’s belly, taking advantage of the steepness to keep sliding. Sometimes the wheels may even not touch the ground.

After the ruts, Bruce got to a river, flowing in somewhere appearing to be a rainforest.

Later on, the road got more comfortable to go, and Bruce just enjoyed the scenic drive.
