Google Maps Gives You Exact Pronunciation Of A Foreign Destination

As scheduled, Google Maps will firstly support 50 languages but the list of supported languages and regions will be completed soon.

Google Maps now comes with a lot of changes that will be a lot useful for users. The company last month revealed a new feature called Incognito Mode for Maps, allowing Android users to use the mapping service app without saving their activities, which is kind of similar to other apps like Google Chrome or Firefox. Now, the company has contributed another handy feature to users when making Google Maps, on behalf of you, interact with local languages more easily.

As said, the idea behind this feature is that Google will help users deal with the language tariff between them and the people in a foreign country they’re visiting. In general, Google Maps is designed to come packed with Google Translate. The translation service, at present, is still addressing millions of requests from users when they are in need of translating/understanding any text in foreign languages. Once it arrives in Google Maps, travelers will find it a lot easier communicating with both the app and the locals.

To test out the feature, open up the Google Maps app and tap on the speaker icon next to the address you’re looking for. The tool then speaks it out loud after automatically detecting that the language is different from yours. With this multilingual machine, we can ask the locals about the place or simply tell taxi drivers exactly where we want to go.

The feature is set to come widely in the coming weeks. As scheduled, it will firstly support 50 languages but the list of supported languages and regions will be completed soon.
