Let’s admit it, during our school days, there is nothing less interesting than doing homework. But what if you have kids and they ask you about their math homework and you become totally clueless? Well, Google has got your back. The tech giant has developed an app just for this.
Called Socratic, the app uses artificial intelligence (AI) to help kids deal with their homework in subjects including Algebra, Trigonometry, Geometry, Chemistry, and Biology.
For mathematical problems, kids can use a smartphone to take a picture of the problem. After that, the AI will come up with a solution showing how to solve it.
With the Socratic app, learners can access more than 1,000 subject guides for Biology, Geometry, Algebra, Physics, Fiction, and Non-Fiction.
It also makes use of the wide library YouTube to bring to students education content and interactive experience. The app also has plenty of in-house answers to answer basic questions.
Originally, the Socratic app was a standalone app that users can download for free from the Google Play Store. In 2019, Google acquired the app and took it down from the Play Store. In the same year, the app was released again on Apple’s App Store with a new look as well as some new features. And finally, the app has returned to the Play Store.
As it is now available for free, parents and students can go to Google Play Store to download the app on Android devices with Android 5.0 or higher.
