German University Is Paying People Rs 140,000 For Doing Nothing

Is it possible to get paid by doing nothing? The answer is actually yes as researchers in Germany are offering something like that.

The Guardian was the first to report this. Researchers at the University of Fine Arts, Hamburg, Germany are searching for volunteers to look into people’s laziness and lack of ambition. People who sign up for the project would have to convince the researchers that they want to be inactive in an interesting, unique way to receive 1,600 Euros.

In the application form, the applicants will have to answer four questions. The researchers will then judge their answers to determine whether they should be awarded the money or not.

Now, you might be wondering what kind of results that the researchers could achieve through this weird experiment. According to the project’s creator, Professor Friedrich von Borries, it is critical to thoroughly research the phenomenon of laziness to create an eco-social transformation.

He explains that this program isn’t a joke. Instead, it is a serious experiment. The project belongs to an experiment called “School of Inconsequentiality: Towards A Better Life” that will be held in 2021 at the University of Fine Arts, Hamburg, Germany.
