Despite Slowdown, Jobs Opportunity In Tech Grows 31% In India

According to Indeed, in 12 months from February last year, tech jobs in India has grown by 31 per cent.

The Indian tech industry is encountering a slowdown. Despite all that, IT jobs continue to rise with many well-paid opportunities for professionals looking for a career in the sector.
In the twelve-month period from last year's February to this year's February tech jobs in the country has grown 31 percent. That is much higher than the 5 percent growth in the previous period.
A Growing Number Of IT Jobs
From the findings, tech job opportunity has continuously grown in the last five years by an average of 8 percent from 2014's February to this year's February. These figures are largely from tech jobs listing by tech companies in the country, which were collated by the crawler of Indeed, an American worldwide employment search engine. Some even come right from the portal of Indeed India.
Sashi Kumar (Indeed India's managing director) has commented on this matter. He said that IT talent's demand had increased six-fold compared to the period from 2017 to 2018. Job profiles are changing and evolving at a very fast pace but could be met by our country' talents. Moreover, companies can also take the initiative to train their own employees with the needed skills to ensure their career path in the ever-changing IT landscape.

And according to Indeed, this job offers a median salary of at least 1,150,000 Rupees annually and can reach 2,400,000 Rupees a year.
