PussyCash has been neglected its duty to protect the sensitive information of its models while a data breach is not something too surprising nowadays

A data breach can put its victims in all kinds of trouble but this latest incident is particularly dangerous. Experts working at vpnMentor recently uncovered a serious data leak on PussyCash, a porn cam affiliate network, which results in 20GB of information of the utmost sensitivity goes wild on an Amazon S3 bucket. The information is of the models working for the network.

The exposed data includes the personal information of 4,000 models from all over the world. Some vital data that has been stolen is their ID/passport number, their real names, and images on their driver licenses. The data breach also exposes 875,000 keys for multiple types of files, like videos and photos.

Some of the data are as new as a few weeks old, others are as old as 20 years. If the information falls into the wrong hand, the models working for the network could be in serious danger given how sensitive the nature of their work is.

vpnMentor has tried to contact PussyCash team informing them about the serious incident but it has not heard back. However, ImLive, one of its brands, did make contact and said that it would deal with the issue.

The leaked data was protected on the 9th of January and so far, we have not had any information on whether anyone apart from the researchers has had access to it.

According to the researchers, PussyCash could implement some simple steps to secure their database again, including authentication requests and access rules.

It is no denying that PussyCash has been neglected its duty to protect the sensitive and personal information of its models while a data breach is not something too surprising nowadays.
