Parenting is no easy job and sometimes they have to come up with creative ways to deal with their children. Previously, we learned that a mother installed a fake CCTV camera in her house to make her children do more housework. The kids bought it and even competed to do more chores as they wanted to impress Santa ahead of Christmas.
And now, a dad has come up with a unique way to punish his 15-year-old daughter, and don’t worry, it doesn’t involve anything violent. Madelynn was caught sneaking boys into a sleepover party and her parents' devices to punish her.
The parents, namely Larry Sumpter and Tawnya Ford, gave Madelynn two options: not using her phone for a month or not using her phone for two weeks and they could freely operate her social network accounts.
The 15-year-old chose the second option without a second thought, not knowing what her parents had in mind. Larry, who is 43 years old, informed his daughter’s followers of the punishment by posting a photo of her sitting on her bed studying. The post went on social media with the following caption:
Her dad started posting his selfies on her Instagram account along with captions that read “Felt cute, might delete later,” among others. Besides, he went on TikTok and posted a video of himself wearing jean shorts and a crop top.
While these posts were surely embarrassing as hell for Madelynn, her dad’s posts became popular and people kept visit her page to see his antics. Obviously, the posts were interesting and fun to many others.
According to Madelynn’s mother, it just took her one day to make Madelynn change her mind and she wanted to take the one-month option instead. But Larry said No, saying that he had already invested too much and has a lot of ideas.
Tawnya added that Larry loved what he was doing so much he might even get a TikTok account of his own after the punishment. He is also popular among her classmates, who now check his Snapchat updates regularly. Other parents, inspired by this unique, fun example, said they would use the same punishment with their kids.
