The restrictions resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic have challenged everyone’s patience. Not only restaurants and coffee shops are close, but people are also required to wear face masks in public places.
Worse, COVID-19 lockdowns force people to stay at home for prolonged periods of time, presenting challengers to one man in the UK, who felt so frustrated that he took an unexpected measure to escape the situation. Sky News reported that the man turned himself in at the police station as he could no longer stand the people he was staying with during the lockdown.
The good news is, the man was also wanted by the police, making their job a bit easier. But it’s funny because being confined at home made him think that jail was even better than being cooped with those people.
The news was also shared on Twitter by Inspector Darren Taylor, who worked at Sussex Police where the wanted man turned himself in.
This is definitely not the only case where the lockdown made family members turn on each other. An October study revealed that 53 percent of people in the UK felt angry with people they know due to their behaviors during the lockdown. Furthermore, research by King’s College London and Ipsos MORI discovered that nearly 25 percent of people reported arguing with friends and family over their actions during the pandemic and 1/12 people said that they no longer spoke to their families or friends following these spats.
India also underwent some serious lockdowns since the outbreak of COVID-19, if you notice the same issue in your own home, we hope you will find a more positive measure to overcome this difficult time and make peace with your loved ones.
