Strip clubs are one of the places that people have a higher chance of contracting COVID-19, because, well, visitors use their hands a lot there and they are usually at a close distance to the stripers.
However, at this particular strip club, there is no need to bring hand sanitizer. DHT (or Die Happy Tonight) is a member-only place and it offers users virtual reality lap dances.
The best part is, this service is 100% free for anyone who get bored of spending too much time at home.
According to Kalin Moon, founder of DHT, the club has always known for its girl-next-door strippers and has had virtual reality tech in place for some time. However, it happens just in time when COVID-19 outbreak forces lot of people to stay at home.
Moon said that in just a few weeks, the whole world has changed drastically but people still need to be entertained and connected to others. And VR was the perfect way people can have both of these from the comfort, and safety, of their home.
Since DHT’s Rosewood Theater has been closed as part of a citywide shutdown to contain the COVID-19 outbreak, the strip club has to find a way to keep its business going. So Moon decided that this was the ideal time to launch the tech the club has been incubating.
The VR dances can be found online for headsets and mobile devices for anyone sign up with the password “livefree.”
People will have pay at least $1,200 to be member of DHT so this free VR experience is a sweet deal for those who are stranding at home.
