For now, health officials are still unsure of whether the infant was infected during child birth or when she was still in the womb. They are trying to work this out as it can be bad news for pregnant women.

The UK has had 790 people positive for COVID-19 and the government announced that tests would not be done on those who were not admitted to hospitals.

The 790 cases have 645 in England, 38 in Wales, 85 in Scotland, and 29 in Northern Ireland. As of March 13, there are four more cases confirmed in Essex so the total number of this region is now 11.

This week, the first fatality case was confirmed in India, a 79-year-old man who had spent a month in Saudi Arabia. The man was screened when he was at the airport but showed no sign of infection.

Health officials are working against the clock to track down those who have come in contact with the victims.
