As COVID-19 is spreading around the world, offices have a responsibility to provide their employees with a safe working environment, closely monitor the situation and offer quick responses.
Offices place hand sanitizers everywhere, cleaning the surfaces regularly to keep them clean and education workers about the COVID-19 situation. But this Saudi Arabian oil company is taking sanitation to a whole new level.
Reports suggest that a Saudi Arabian oil company decided to use a migrant worker as a human hand sanitizer.
The pictures went viral on social media platforms. From the pictures, a masked worker can be seen wearing a box dispensing hand sanitizer. The man is approached by the staff in the lobby as well as the outside area of the company.

Some have called this “modern-day slavery.” Pakistani-Canadian journalist, Tarek Fatah, strongly criticized the company their act.
The COVID-19 outbreak has truly shown the worst in human beings, from xenophobia to this worker being mistreated.
Up until now, there have been over 110,000 confirmed cases with more than 3,800 deaths globally. The most affected countries are China, South Korea, Italy, Iran, France, and Germany. India has 62 confirmed cases with 1 death.

The Coronavirus is believed to have come from Wuhan’s Huanan Seafood Wholesale Market, which is a trading place for wildlife. On 23 January, to prevent the virus from spreading, the Chinese authorities put the city under lockdown. Some airlines have also suspended their flights to mainland China.
According to researchers at the Wuhan Institute of Virology, the genome sequenced taken from seven patients were reportedly 96% identical to coronavirus from bats.
