Russia has become the first country to successfully develop a COVID-19 despite several concerns surrounding it. Now, Sinopharm Group from China is the next in line.
Sinopharm Group’s Chairman, Liu Jingzhen, has recently announced that New Crown, its new COVID-19, will be ready by the end of December. The vaccine consists of two does and will reportedly cost less than $145.

Confirming the vaccine’s efficacy, China National Pharmaceutical Group’s Party Secretary and Chairman said he himself had already received two shots and had had no adverse reactions.
Recently, the COVID-19 vaccine of Sinopharm has passed relevant biosafety inspection carried out at the Beijing Institute of Biological Products. It is now qualified for public use.
The vaccine is now in its final phase conducted in UAE. After clearance, it can enter the approval process. By the end of this year, it can finally enter the market.

Liu Jingzhen says that one of the vaccine manufacturers, Beijing Institute of Biological Products can product 120 million doses a year. Meanwhile, Wuhan Institute of Biological Products, another manufacturer can make 100 million doses per year.
The cost of each shot is a few hundred yuan. With two shots, the cost will be less than 1000 yuan or around $145. Also according to Jingzhen, not everyone needs to be vaccinated. Students, as well as office workers studying and working in densely populated areas, should be vaccinated while those living in sparsely populated areas don’t have to.
