With the growth of technology, more and more kids are embracing an interest in the field. With this in mind, many schools have encouraged their students to dabble with computers.
Now, schools in Bengaluru are launching classes for kids with an interest in robotics, and it seems that the kids love it. Robotics classes have been set up in a number of intuitions for those between grade 1 and grade 9.

In the school laboratories, there are now computers teaching coding along with robotics kits including sensors, CPUs, and building blocks for forming structures, which the students can use in designating different tasks.
Whitefield Global School’s head mistress-secondary Arpita Tripathi said that students go to the lab to build and code robots. Here, they learn to build and code line-following robots, industrial robotic arm, and even the Mars rover. She added that students also learn about humanoid robots, they can build, code, as well as learn maths and science concepts easily thanks to the hands-on approach. Furthermore, they are learning AI basics in the lab.

With such robotics classes, not only can children learn to code, apply skills in their robot work, but they also get their critical thinking improves while working in teams.
Bethany High’s computer science head Pankaj Kumar Chaudhary stated:

At Bethany High, students from grade 2 to grade 5 are attending robotics classes afterschool, using Lego Mindstorms EV3.
It would be wonderful if other schools across India will open similar classes so that more children with a passion for technology can develop their capabilities.
