A report stated that Lu Mou, a gamer from China, filed a complaint against his friend. The guy reportedly spent around 10 million Yuan or Rs 10 crores for his character’s customization in the game called “Justice Online.” His game ID was shared with his friend name Li Mouscheng so that Mouscheng could also get to enjoy Mou’s cool outfit in the game.
However, Mouscheng betrayed Mou by selling the character on NetEase, an in-game marketplace, for only 3,999 Yuan or Rs 40,000. In fact, Mouscheng was trying to get 388,000 Yuan for the character but he made a typo since he was feeling dizzy because of excessive gaming.
The case was heard at a court at Sichuan Province and the judgment was in favor of Mou. The original owner gets to receive his game character back while the plaintiff will need to pay a 90,000 Yuan or Rs 9 Lakhs compensation for the inconvenience that he caused to the gamer buying the character. The court also made a warning on the aftereffects of being too engrossed in video games.
Not only Mouscheng broke the gamer code’s unwritten rule, but his friendship also will never be fixed. Lu Mou was so generous that he shared his costly character with his friend. After this incident, we doubt that he would ever share his credentials again.
