Obesh Komirisetty, a resident of Hyderabad, was stranded around midnight and managed to get home by ordering food via Zomato and got a free ride home.

In Hyderabad, if you are out on the streets past midnight, it will be quite tricky to find a ride home. While you can get on a cab, the prices can be expensive. A Hyderabad man tried to get home after being stuck at the InOrbit Mall sometime around 11.30 pm. The guy, whose name is Obesh, shared his story online, along with his clever solution.
So that’s when he decided to use the Zomato app to get something to eat. But that’s not everything. When the delivery man came to deliver his order, he got a ride home. He was lucky enough to find such a thoughtful delivery guy.
Since then, the post has become viral. His quick-thinking has been praised by many people. Even Zomato responded to his story with a funny GIF.
The company has found itself in a controversy relating to religion again after its tweet “Food has no religion, food IS religion.”
On August 12, the delivery boys of the company plan on going on a strike to express that their religious sentiments are being affected by the food they deliver. So for the Bakrid or Eid al-Adha celebration which fell on August 12 this year, they refused to deliver pork or beef.
