Recently, the FBI has caught Tammy Steffen - a fitness expert for using 369 forged Instagram accounts to intimidate her rivals. Earlier, Steffen had been reported for using these accounts and other 18 different email addresses to harass her former business partner and rivals.
In case you are wondering how harsh those intimidations were, have a look at the following threatening words.
“I plan to slice you up into little pieces. Your blood shall I taste.”, said Mrs. Steffen in a message from an Instagram account named catloverexpress.
Her threats even went beyond online messages. It was last year when Steffen crossed the line by faking an abduction involving her daughter. One day, she called the sheriff office’s to say that she found a headless baby doll left on her house’s front porch. Besides the doll, there was also a note which read “new toy for the kids.” Over the next few days, she called 911 to report that there was a person attempting to abduct her daughter. After conducting an investigation, the FBI finally found out that all of the cases were fake. Steffen had made it all up to get back at one of her former business partners.
After everything she did, Steffen was under arrest for filing a false police report. For all that, she attempted to manipulate her daughter who is the witness as well. “You won’t get in trouble but I will”, said Steffen to her daughter on a recorded jail phone line.
“You get false reports quite frequently. To the extent that this woman went? Not to that extent. And from what she claims is the reason for doing it, that’s even more puzzling,” said Kevin Doll, Pasco County Sheriff’s Office representative.
Mrs. Steffen was sentenced to five years in prison for online threats and cyberstalking charges. She took a bow for what she did and wrote in a letter to the judge.
“While no one wants to have legal proceedings, I am thankful for the intervention in my life.”
