A Female Employee Was Hit And Killed By A Google Bus

A Google employee was hit and killed by a bus. Officials informed about a female staff working in the Google finance organization.

Google officials say a Google staff was hit and killed in Monday evening (Nov 5) by a vehicle of the company, California. 1 day later, Police indicated details of the accident that caused by the Google bus at 6:45pm on Monday.

Google realized the woman as Chenxue “Emily” Hong, working in the Google finance organization.

A temporary memorial of the flower bundles was put at the crossroad of  Huff Avenue and Charleston Road, in Mountain View.

Police administer CPR on Hong, lying in the road, but she already died. At the beginning, police did not inform any personal information of the victim, but it was public on Gizmodo site right after the accident, Gina Scigliano, Google spokesperson detailed.

Hong graduated an economic bachelor’s degree in Nanjing University in 2013 then studied an engineering and operations master’s degree in UC Berkeley 1 year after that.

Hong started her career as a financial associate at Prager and Co., San Francisco city in the period of 2014 and 2016. She is a volunteer for children at YWCA during this period.

Google signed the contract with a third-party shuttle service provider to transport their employees before and after work. Company officials did not disclose any details about that shuttle company.

The bus stopped at the incident scene, the male driver was investigated by the police. But Police did not find out any evidence for his under-control status.

According to police, this crossroad is of concern due to the large number of vehicles, bicyclists, and pedestrians participating. And the investigators did not say which party was the fault.
