8-Yr-Old Indian Girl Sets World Record Of Most Ceramic Tiles Broken And Origami Models Made

P.D.V Sahruda, an 8-year-old Indian girl has broken the world record for the most ceramic tiles broken, 350 tiles in 20 minutes, and the most origami models made, 102 models in 20 minutes. The previous record for the ceramic tile category was set by a contestant from North Korea with 262 tiles.

Sahruda comes from Hyderabad and is studying in class 3. She even has a Green Belt in Karate. In an interview with The New Indian Express, her mother said that Sahrada had a good memory and liked to observe things. She also tried to do the best at anything that she did. For the past year, she had been learning Karate.

To set the world record for breaking ceramic tiles, she practiced with her teacher in breaking 5mm tiles. Sahruda also tried to set another record that day in coloring, for which she needed to sit for five hours straight.

Apart from her accomplishments, Sahruda has also tried other extracurricular activities while still maintain her studies. At the moment, she is learning dancing, painting, athletics, abacus, skating, and many more.

Since she is taking part in so many different activities, many might question what she might want to do when she grows up. She told The New Indian Express that she wanted to become an astronaut at ISRO to discover other planets like Mars, a professional athlete and excel in ice skating.

Her mother, Sailaja, explained that Sahruda is naturally interested in these activities. She is also allowed to have her TV and phone time, but she prefers coloring for de-stressing.
