EV Motors India Pvt Ltd has set the first steps to establish a string of EV charging stations across the country.

While electric vehicles (EV) have been a hot topic in the automobile industry in India, EV Motors India Pvt Ltd has set the first steps to establish a string of EV charging stations across the country. According to a confidential source, the company is now cooperating with DLF, ABB India, and Delta Electronics India to develop a system of 6500 EV charging stations in the next five years.

EV Motors India Pvt Ltd has built the first charging station ‘PlugNgo’ that will be placed in Gurugram. This EV charging station must have the high applicability and be suitable for a variety of electric vehicles, like electric buses, three-wheelers, electric bikes, as well as many other ones that are used to carry passengers.

Besides, consumers in India can as expected, download the mobile app PlugNgo on their phones to charge their EV vehicles remotely or make transactions through an electronic medium. The company has a plan to develop this app on two platforms including Android and iOS.

Within 1 year from now, there will be more than 20 EV charging stations established in Delhi. After that, a series of other cities will also have a chance to experience the benefits that the outlets bring. They are Amritsar, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chandigarh, Kanpur, Jaipur, Bhubaneshwar, Cochin, Chennai, Mumbai, Kolkata, Pune, Indore, and Hyderabad.

To complete the set target, EV Motors India Pvt Ltd will need to invest the amount of about 14 crores (USD 200 million). Its partners will be the one under the primary responsibility of the investment.

When putting into operation, these 6500 charging outlets will be connected with each other via a cloud platform. Of course, all of them must meet the current standards in India and in the whole world.

While the EV charging stations have been set up, the company also deploys its new plans to support centers and provide services in these 15 Indian cities.
