Hanergy, a Chinese company with expertise in thin solar films partnered with a Chinese automaker to develop a solar-powered electric car.

A Chinese firm named Hanergy specializing in solar flimsy solar films collaborated with Jiangsu Joylong Automobile, a Chinese carmaker to build a car running by solar energy. After trying the car’s productivity, the result is that it can run 20 kilometers per day for 30 days straight without charging, because of the slim sunlight-based films inside the vehicle.

In all those days, the battery amount remained around 60-80 percent.  The vehicle can be operated for an extra 30-70 kilometers, adequate for many individuals using cars for everyday drives.

The car doesn't look cutting-edge or outwardly alluring. It has Joylong's own EM3 electric vehicle's structure language. The Chinese market is the car's targetted market.

The firm states that the meager film sun-powered panels in the vehicle can produce power even on gloomy days. Without a doubt, this is a critical accomplishment since climate conditions have consistently blocked the productivity of sunlight-based panels as far back as its origin.

CEO’s Hanergy, Lu Tao has plans on partnering with other electric automakers to put slender sun-powered films to their electric autos to boost the life span, so that the vehicle's owner can get adequate time for detecting a source of electric power. In any case, all we can do is to wait and see how that turns out.
