Xiaomi Mi Watch Color Hands-On: Affordable & Attractive Design

In early November, Xiaomi launched its first Mi smartwatch called Xiaomi Mi Watch. Until now, two months after the smartwatch was launched, Xiaomi has also introduced two new smartwatches in the Mi series: Mi Watch Forbidden City and Mi Watch Color with completely different designs compared to the original Mi Watch. The Xiaomi Mi Watch Color price in India is nearly Rs. 8,000. For now, we haven’t heard anything about the Xiaomi Mi Watch Color release date in India.

This smartwatch model was only launched at the end of last year in China. You can tell by the name "Color", this watch will be sold by Xiaomi with a wide range of color options for the strap. According to Xiaomi, this Mi Watch Color will be suitable for many users, not just for young users.

The version we have on hand today is the Dark Blue version. Xiaomi said that users can completely personalize the Mi Watch Color with different types of bands with different colors depending on each person's preferences.

The device’s face is a round shape instead of a square shape like the original Mi Watch

This watch face has a large 1.39-inch size, uses an AMOLED panel with a resolution of 454 x 454. Its display quality is decent and the brightness is sufficient to see in direct sunlight.

Users can personalize the watch face by long-pressing on the main screen, or change with their smartphone when connected via Bluetooth

Due to the large screen, the Mi Watch Color will be more suitable for men with large wrists

On the back of the watch is the area that houses the heart rate sensor. The entire back is made of plastic.

On the right side of the product are 2 buttons: a function key at the top to enter the menu page, long press to activate Xiao Ai and a shortcut key on the lower part to enter the sports interface.

The left edge has absolutely nothing, Mi Watch Color does not have a microphone and speakers for users to make calls directly from the watch.

Of course, it comes with multiple health monitoring features such as measuring heart rate, counting steps or many other exercise modes. The device supports standard 5ATM water resistance

Currently, the user interface of Mi Watch Color only supports Chinese, not English.

The Mi Watch Color has a 420mAh battery, which can last for up to 14 days according to the company.
