The Realme 7 Pro specifications show that this is a great all-around phone. But how does it perform in real life? Check out our review for details.

Realme started in India with the Realme 1 priced at Rs. 8,990. After three years, this series has reached its 7th generation, and the top-end model Realme 7 Pro is priced at three times as high and is also the most expensive model ever in the series. With a price of Rs. 19,999, the 7 Pro is no longer a mid-range but is closer to the high-end segment, hence, the expectations for the device are also higher than its predecessors. Will the handset be able to meet those expectations? Let’s take a look at our Realme 7 Pro specifications review below:

Realme 7 Pro specifications are great in its segment.

Realme 7 Pro Specifications: Design

Overall, the device has an attractive design and a solid body. Although being released together, the Realme 7 Pro offers a much better feeling when holding in hands compared to the Realme 7. The device is light and has a curvey body for more comfortable holding.

No gradient effect, but I actually prefer this design more.

The plastic material may be a minor minus at this price point, but in exchange, it gets a light body. Again, the matte finish at the back of the Realme 7 Pro is really good. It not only helps the device have a premium look, but it also helps to repel fingerprints.

Realme 7 Pro Specifications: Display

This is where users are complaining about the 7 Pro. While its Realme 7 sibling gets a 90Hz display, the 7 Pro only has a 60Hz ones. However, in exchange for the lower refresh rate, the 7 Pro is equipped with an AMOLED panel, which is considered to deliver a much battery experience than the IPS LCD panel on the vanilla 7.

Realme 7's 6.4-inch FullHD + AMOLED screen has a high brightness for comfortable outdoor use, and the color tones are also much more vivid than that of its sibling.

If I have the option to pick, of course, I will choose both AMOLED panel and 90Hz refresh rate, but only one of the two, many people will pick AMOLED. Thanks to the use of the AMOLED screen, we also have an under-display fingerprint reader on the 7 Pro as well as better battery life.

Super AMOLED panel is known to be better than the IPS LCD panel.

Realme 7 Pro Specifications: Performance

Realme used to put class-leading chipsets on its smartphones and have used the Snapdragon 720G in phones priced below Rs. 15,000. That doesn’t mean the Snapdragon 720G on the 7 Pro is a letdown. Along with the LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.1 storage, the 7 Pro’s performance is pretty solid.

You can comfortably use the Realme 7 Pro to play PUBG Mobile.

Testing with the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model, we had a smooth day-to-day performance and a decent gaming experience. The handset runs PUBG Mobile pretty stably with an average fps of 39.7. The fps only dropped slightly during parachuting or riding.

If you are still not happy with the Snapdragon 720G and want to get the most powerful phone for the price, you might have to wait for one of the POCO flash sales.

Realme 7 Pro Specifications: Cameras

Realme 7 Pro's rear camera setup is as follows:

  • 64MP main camera
  • 8MP ultra-wide camera
  • 2MP macro camera
  • 2MP portrait camera
The Realme 7 Pro's rear camera design looks similar to that of the newly-announced OnePlus 8T.

Realme is doing a good job with the 64MP camera. I am quite happy with what it can do in daylight. The results look pretty natural, crisp, and have great dynamic range. The noise levels are also well under control as well.

The Realme 7 Pro offers great results for its price.

As for low-light photography, it performs quite well for its price. Turning on the dedicated night mode, the outcomes are even better. While the photos taken by night mode have lower resolution, they still have natural colors as well as a good dynamic range and a low level of noise. The Realme 7 Pro definitely is one of the best low-light photography smartphones I have seen in the budget segment this year.  Selfie shots come out quite sharp and detailed. You can also use Night mode for the selfie camera as well.

Realme 7 Pro Specifications: Battery

Despite having a small battery than its sibling Realme 7, the 7 Pro’s 4,500 mAh battery still delivers a similar battery life as the 5,000mAh unit of the 7. It might due to the optimized software and the more energy-efficient AMOLED screen.

With 65W fast charging, your battery will be fully charged in no time.

I used the Realme 7 Pro to watch videos, take lots of photos, watch Netflix play games, and it lasted over 8 hours screen on time. For low usage, it could even last for around two days. Backed with 65W SuperDart technology, the device will refill its juice in no time. It only took 38 minutes to fully charge the phone, which is amazing. It is even more impressive when the device was only warm. The Realme 7 pro's fast charging capabilities are one of its most expensive features. If you are in a hurry, you can just charge the phone for 15 minutes and you will get 50 percent of battery to work with.

Realme 7 Pro Specifications: Verdict

Overall, I’m pretty impressed with the Realme 7 Pro. For Rs. 20,000, the device offers a Super AMOLED display and a powerful performance thanks to the Snapdragon 720G SoC, up to 8GB LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.1 storage. Realme also does a great job in the camera and battery departments on this phone.
