Alongside Realme 6, OPPO’s sub-brand Realme has released a more premium model called Realme 6 Pro in India early last month. Compared to last year’s Realme 5 and Realme 5 Pro, the two phones didn’t have much difference in appearance. As for this year’s models, the company has gone for some changes on the Pro model to make it look more premium over the vanilla version.
The main color of the product box is still yellow, which is also Realme's favorite color. The included accessories are no different from the "non-Pro" version: charger, cable, case, SIM ejector, manual, and no earbuds still.
The first time you pick up the phone, the first thing you see is the lightning-blue color variant that looks elegant and eye-catching.
One of the Realme 6 Pro’s highlights is the 30W VOOC 4.0 fast charging technology, delivering a full charge of the 4,300 mAh battery in just 55 minutes.
Just like Realme 6, the edges of this Pro version are curved toward the sides of the phone. The details are handled very well, so you won’t feel uncomfortable when holding this phone.
The fingerprint sensor continues to be taken to the side, integrated with the same power key as the regular version.
The appearance of the rear camera setup is not different from the vanilla model, but the specifications have been changed. The back of Realme 6 Pro is home to quad rear cameras, including the 64MP main Samsung GW1 sensor, 8MP ultra-wide angle sensor with 119-degree viewing angle, 12MP telephoto sensor that supports 2x optical zoom and up to 20x zoom, as well as a 2MP macro sensor with a 4cm focal length.
It can be seen that Realme 6 Pro has changed the BW sensor to a telephoto unit to offer 2x optical zoom. In addition, super dark shooting and anti-shake video recording are also emphasized on this Pro version.
On the front, we have a 6.6 inch IPS LCD Full HD + screen, which is 0.1 inches larger than that of the regular version. Realme 6 Pro is also equipped with a display with a refresh rate of up to 90 Hz, which is still quite uncommon for a mid-range smartphone, providing a better visual experience.
The punch-hole in the Pro screen is also larger than the regular version because it houses two selfie cameras including the 16MP main Sony IMX471 sensor and 8MP wide-angle sensor with a 105-degree viewing angle. The selfie cameras of both devices support automatic HDR, AI beautification, portrait photography, time-lapse video, 120fps slow-motion video, and night photography.
Instead of Realme 6's Helio G90T processor, the Pro version uses Qualcomm's Snapdragon 720G, alongside 8 GB RAM, and 128 GB of storage.
The Pro model is available for pre-order, but the launch date will start from March 13 on Flipkart and Realme stores. The Realme 6 Pro prices in India are as follows:
- 6 GB RAM + 64 GB storage model costs Rs. 16,999.
- 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage model costs Rs. 17,999.
- 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage model costs Rs. 18,999.
