The OnePlus 8 Pro comes with a lot of notable upgrades compared to vanilla OnePlus 8 and its previous predecessors, OnePlus 7T & 7T Pro.

So after less than a week of launch, the duo OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro have officially been available for sales on the market. These are believed to be the first two smartphones of OnePlus that mark the company's transition from the "Flagship Killer" to a more high-end segment.

At the moment, both the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro haven’t officially made their way to the Indian market. The units we have on hands here are the Chinese versions, meaning the two devices will not be pre-installed with Google Mobile services and we have to install it manually.

For the vanilla OnePlus 8, users will not have too many upgrades when compared to its predecessor, but as for the Pro version, OnePlus has equipped this model quite a lot of notable upgrades and even add features that OnePlus had always considered "abundant".

All accessories included: Warp Charge 30W fast charger, USB-C charging cable in the distinctive red color, a silicon phone cover with the familiar "Never Settle" branding on top and a few OnePlus stickers.

30W Warp Charge adapter included with the device (5V / 6A)

The OnePlus 8 Pro has a matte back. The back of the device is curved to the sides for a comfortable grip
The version we have on hand is the Ultramarine Blue version, which is quite eye-catching.
This is the main camera cluster of OnePlus 8 Pro, including four sensors: 48MP (wide angle) + 8MP (telephoto 3x) + 48MP (ultra wide) + 5MP (portrait), next to the LED flash and laser auto-focus
Familar "1+" logo
For those who do not know, on the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro, the "OnePlus" logo and the "1+" logo on the back of the device have been slightly changed from previous versions, but you have to really pay attention to see the difference.

The standard OnePlus 8 has a glossy glass back like many other smartphones.
The design of the OnePlus 8 camera cluster is more similar to the Pro version, instead of a circular module design like OnePlus 7T.
The front of the OnePlus 8 Pro is a 6.78-inch AMOLED panel with QHD + resolution.
Both phones use the punch-hole design, replacing the water-drop or pop-up design of last year's models. They also have 3D curved screens on the sides for a comfortable grip and viewing angles with 3D effects.
There are differences in the screen specifications of the two devices. While the Pro version has a QHD + screen and a 120Hz refresh rate, the vanilla OnePlus 8 only has a Full HD + screen with a 90Hz refresh rate.
Option to switch between 60Hz and 90 / 120Hz on OnePlus 8/8 Pro
The screen of OnePlus 8 has an additional feature similar to that of OPPO Find X2, which is "Motion graphics smoothing". When activated, the feature will artificially add frames into the videos, turning a 24fps video into 120fps and making it a little too smooth.
Of course, an in-display fingerprint sensor is also available on both devices
In terms of configuration, the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro duo are equipped with Snapdragon 865 chip, 6 / 8GB or 8 / 12GB RAM, 128 / 256GB UFS 3.0 storage. The battery capacity is 4,510mAh on the Pro version and 4,300mAh on the standard version.
Although both are equipped with 30W Warp Charge fast charging capabilities, the Pro version is favored by OnePlus with the addition of 30W fast wireless charging technology, allowing the first 50 percent of battery to be charged within 30 minutes. In addition, OnePlus 8 Pro also supports 3W wireless reverse charging.
In addition, the OnePlus 8 Pro (and a version of the OnePlus 8 distributed by T-Mobile and Verizon in the USA) are equipped with IP68 water and dust resistance, which is the first-ever on OnePlus smartphones.

In terms of price, OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro price have been revealed by the company. While the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model of the vanilla model is set at Rs. 44,999, the OnePlus 8 Pro’s top-end option with 12GB RAM + 256GB storage is Rs. 59,999.
