In recent times, Xiaomi has become a very popular smartphone brand in the Indian market. It goes beyond the giants of technology like Motorola, Samsung, and many other names because its devices are affordable but still carry many new modern features. Thanks to the good development strategy, Xiaomi has attracted a lot of customers in the country and also unintentionally got the attention of robbers. Recently in Andhra Pradesh, a truck carrying Xiaomi smartphones was hit by robbers. They took a lot of Chinese phone manufacturers' devices worth up to Rs 1 crore.
The Time of India reported that the incident occurred when the truck was traveling from Sri city to Kolkata on January 13. The driver was attacked when he stopped at a truck “lay-by bay” and he got tied into the tree and drove Xiaomi's truck to Gowravaram village. After having traveled a long stretch, they transferred all the goods on the truck to their own vehicles and escaped. The driver was found by the local people and reported to the police.
Police have found an empty truck the bandits left in Gowravaram village. According to the investigation, this robbery has been planned, and the bandits may already know about the truck's travel route. Police suspect that an employee in the company has abetted this bold robbery plan. Xiaomi's devices in the truck they got are priced between 6,000 and 14,000 rupees.
Xiaomi's Managing Director tweeted on his page a few days before the incident, condemning and calling people carefully because many places use fake certificates to provide products Xiaomi's, open Mi Store or become Mi's partner. This incident happened a few days after the Redmi Note 7 was released. This smartphone from Xiaomi will arrive in India on February 28 this year and is expected to be launched in March.
