The Vivo Y9s is the latest offering that the Chinese brand announced in China. This new smartphone in the Vivo Y series is a rebranded model of the recently-announced Vivo S1 Pro, which went official in the Philippines. It comes with a triple rear camera cluster housed in a diamond-shape module, a beefy battery, and an under-display fingerprint reader. At the back, it comes with a glass rear panel with a gradient finish.
Vivo Y9s: Availability & Price
The handset was launched at a price tag of CNY 1,998 (around Rs. 20,200). Interest buyers in China can already purchase the phone in the country. We haven’t heard anything about its launch in international markets.
All color variants of the phone include Pink, Black, and Blue.
Vivo Y9s: Features & Specifications
The Vivo Y9s carries a 6.38-inch Super AMOLED panel, which supports up to Full-HD (2,340 x 1,080p) resolution and an under-display fingerprint reader. On top of the screen, there is a water-drop notch to house a 32MP selfie shooter. At the back, it gets a quad-camera lens system, including a 48MP main sensor, an 8MP wide-angle shooter with an f/2.2 lens, a 2MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth-sensing camera.
In the software department, it still runs Android 9.0 Pie out of the box with FunTouchOS 9 on top. Under the hood, it gets power from a Snapdragon 655 chipset, coupled with 8GB RAM and an Adreno 610 GPU. It also packs 128GB of storage, which can be expanded with a microSD card (up to 256GB). Fueling the device is a beefy 4,500 mAh battery cell with support for 18W quick charging technology. Its dimensions and weight are 159.25 x 75.19 x 8.68 mm and 186.7g. Connectivity features include Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ GLONASS, USB-C port, and Dual 4G VoLTE.
