Following the success of the Oppo F11 and F11 Pro duo, Oppo continues to unveil the Oppo Reno with a breakthrough, beautiful and attractive design. The device comes with a metal frame with Gorilla Glass 6 protective layers for better scratch and shock resistance. This is an extremely big highlight for the Oppo Reno because there is a limited number of smartphones equipped with the latest generation protective layer in this price range.
In terms of design, Oppo continues to affirm its commitment to listening to its users when bringing the best experience on their products. The Oppo Reno's back is designed to have rounded sleek corners with gradient effect. The highlight on the back is that it does not have any camera bump. The camera module is designed flat with the back, creating a more seamless feeling.
On the front, the Oppo Reno is equipped with a 6.4-inch full-view display with Full HD+ resolution and a screen-to-body ratio of 93.1% with thin edges of just 1.59mm. In addition, the phone also does not feature a traditional fingerprint sensor on the back, instead, it has an on-screen optical fingerprint sensor with high sensitivity, fast and accurate unlock speed.
Besides, Oppo used a pop-up selfie camera. However, the operating mechanism is different from the Oppo Find X or the Oppo F11 Pro. Accordingly, the camera will only lift to one side when you turn on the selfie camera. At the same time, it is also a place to house LED flash and a 16MP sensor with an aperture of f/2.0.
As for the main camera, Oppo Reno features a dual rear camera setup including a 48MP f/1.7 PDAF Sony IMX586 sensor and a 5MP f/2.4 depth sensor. Additionally, the device is backed with a 3.765 mAh battery that supports the VOOC 3.0 fast charging technology (using new USB Type-C port) with new VFC charging algorithm. The algorithm significantly increases battery charging speed, reduces charging time by 23.8% compared to the VOOC 2.0 solution. Last, the Oppo Reno runs ColorOS 6 based on Android 9.0 Pie.
