OnePlus 8 Pro Live Photo Shows Back Panel With Quad Rear Cameras

OnePlus 8 Pro is one of the three upcoming smartphones that OnePlus is expected to release in the first half of this year. We have already known that the handset will look like thanks to previously leaked renders. Now, a live photo of the phone has been shared online, confirming previous leaks and rumors.

It seems like OnePlus will still stick with the same vertical camera placement it used on the OnePlus 7 Pro & OnePlus 7T Pro. The photo also shows that the camera module houses three cameras just like what we have seen on its predecessors. However, there will be an additional camera on the left side of the camera housing, which is reported to be a 3D ToF camera. You can also see a slit just below the ToF sensor and an LED flash below the camera module.

Sadly, the photo doesn’t show the front panel of the phone, so we can’t know for sure whether the phone will indeed come with a punch-hole display. From what we have known, the OnePlus 8 Pro will carry a curved panel with a punch-hole at the top left corner for a selfie camera. 

Apart from those upgrades, the vanilla OnePlus 8 & premium 8 Pro are both tipped to support wireless charging - a feature that hasn’t been available on any other OnePlus smartphones. Both phones will most likely be powered by the top-of-the-line Snapdragon 865 SoC along with a Snapdragon X55 modem for dual-mode 5G connectivity.

For now, the exact launch date for the OnePus 8 duo is still under wraps, but reports suggest that the could make their debut earlier than their predecessors, which was announced in May last year. There is a good chance that we will see another launch event held online because of the coronavirus outbreak.
