After announcing the Nokia 2.2 in India, HMD Global is reportedly planning to launch another Nokia handset with the model number of TA-1198 that has just surfaced online, thanks to a Weibo user 'Fenibook'. The phone in question is tipped to carry the codename 'daredevil'. It is also said to feature at least two cameras placed in a circular module which is similar to what we have seen on the forthcoming Huawei Mate 30. This upcoming phone also seems to feature a glass body and a fingerprint reader mounted at the back for biometric authentication.
Moreover, the unknown Nokia device sports a 48MP main sensor with Zeiss optics. Moreover, because we can see a switch for the wide-angle mode in its camera app, we believe that the second sensor might be a 20MP wide-angle shooter. On the front, there is a water-drop notch to house a selfie camera and a thin chin at its bottom with the Nokia branding. The photos further reveal that the phone will support FHD+ resolution and be powered by a Snapdragon 660 SoC, paired with an Adreno 512 GPU. Software-wise, it should ship with Android 9 Pie out of the box. For now, we haven't known how many memory configurations this smartphone will be offered.
At the bottom, we can see a USB-C port alongside a microphone and a speaker grill. The phone also has a dedicated AI button placed on its left spine, possibly being used to activate Google Assistant. On the right side, it is shown to come with volume rockers and power button. And you can't miss the headphone jack at the top that has been removed in many high-end smartphones. Finally, it will be fueled by a 3,500 mAh battery under the hood.
Those are all we have known about the phone. We speculate that it will make its official debut soon, so there should be more details coming soon.
