iFixit has just done a teardown on the device that many of us are curious to see what goes on the inside of it, the iPhone 11 Pro. Their video gave us a closer look at how Apple managed to fit all of its new technology inside the iPhones releasing this year.
Since we have heard some rumors saying that Apple has some pieces of tech on the inside that it has not yet told the public, this teardown will give you an answer on that too.
The battery is connected to the main device by three adhesive strips. This much adhesive is large for one single piece of hardware, given that it is the largest part of the iPhone 11 Pro. However, the two experts from iFixit were still able to remove it without breaking anything, but with extreme carefulness.
There are also two battery connectors, which is projected to be the sign of the departure of the two-way (bilateral) battery charging.
The iPhone 11 Pro has a higher water-resistant rating of IP68 in comparison with the iPhone XS Max, meaning it can survive being submerged under 2 to 4 meters of water for half an hour. The methodology of the hardware does not seem to change, but the difference might lie somewhere else.
Another noticeable feature is that the iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone XS share an identical wireless charging coil. So Apple did not make any change between last year and this year’s iPhone, not in this part.
Stay tuned for more findings on both inside and outside of the iPhone 11 Pro.
